Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during his visit to Jamaica called for a dialogue with Colombia and a meeting with President Juan Manuel Santos to end the border crisis. He said he was leaving the time and place of the meeting up to Santos. Maduro criticized the role of the Colombian media in escalating the conflict by circulating "hateful" anti-Venezuelan messages.
