The Centers for Disease Control announced 463 new cases of dengue fever on Sept. 13, bringing the total to 9,566. Infectious disease experts say that based on international research, there may also be 90,000 people who are unaware that they are infected with dengue fever. The CDC reminds the public that the best way to prevent dengue fever is to remove all potential mosquito breeding sites.
