Chilean rape survivors will have access to save abortion services within 40 weeks of pregnancy. A new law introduced by Chilean President Michelle Bachelet allows a woman access to an abortion in cases of live endangerment, sexual violence or fatal fetal impairments. After deliberations, the law was approved. The time limit, however, has been restricted.
