Zanb literally means tail, and originally means taking animal's tail. Quran describes all the defects which caused by a failure in the past and appear now in present, with the word Zanb. In fact Zanb is a consequence of an act which might not be accounted as sin, or even something wrong, but cause some chain of events that finally lead to damages or defects in us and leave destructive effects in our daily life. In fact, when we pray and ask for forgiveness and cure for our Zunūb, we actually are asking God to repair the damage that has its origin in the past, even may not have been considered as sin or guilt at that time.
