A short trip to the nearest spice store, an appetite for the hot & spicy is all you need to make most out of this lip smacking recipe! br br Ingredients- br br To Grind: br Batch 1- br 1 Cinnamon piece br 2 Cardamom pods br Few cloves br br Batch 2- br Few black peppercorns br 500g mutton br 1 tbsp coriander powder br 1 tsp chilli powder br 14 tsp turmeric powder br 20 garlic pods, chopped finely br 6-7 green chillies, slit br Some curry leaves br 2 12 large onions, chopped br Salt as per taste br Water as required br Coconut oil for cooking br br Method: br br -Dry roast cloves, cardamom, cinnamon. Let this cool naturally & then grind them roughly (coarsely) for the spice mix. br -In a pan, add 500 gms boneless mutton, 1tbsp coriander powder, 1tspn chilli powder, 14th tspn turmeric powder & little salt. Fry this. Mix well & add water, a bit of spice mix, cover & cook. (Add more water as per requirement, to cook the meatmutton) br -In another pan, add coconut oil, 20 pods of finely chopped garlic (or as per taste), 6-7 slit green chillies, curry leaves, 2&12 chopped onions, little salt. Fry this mixture & add the remaining spice mix. br -Also add slightly crushed whole black peppercorns. br --When the onions are translucent and start to brown, add the cooked mutton, fold in & keep stirring till everything gets mixed properly. (This should not be completely dry, but a little moist. Add salt if required) br -Mutton Pepper Fry is ready to serve.
