NATO, Turkey on High Alert Over Russia

NATO held an emergency meeting late Monday, after Russia violated Turkish airspace twice in two days during airstrikes on Syria.br In the first incident, an SU-30 fighter aircraft had entered Turkish airspace "for a few seconds" because of bad weather, Moscow stated Saturday.br However, since then, yet another incident has been reported, a Turkish foreign ministry official stated Monday night - and warned that Russia would  "be responsible for any undesired incident that may occur" if it happened again.br NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated Tuesday that Russia has not given "any real explanation" for its extended violation of Turkish airspace.
