Buttermilk Waffle Recipe - Le Gourmet TV

Light and airy on the inside - crispy on the outside, and perfect with powdered sugar or maple syrup! br br Ingredients: br 3 eggs br 1¾ cups (450 mL) buttermilk br ½ cup (100 mL) melted butter br 2 cups (500 mL) all purpose flour br 1 Tbsp (15 ml) baking powder br 1⁄4 cup (60 ml) superfine sugar br 1 tsp (5 mL) salt br br br Method: br Pre-heat waffle iron. br Whisk together flour, sugar and salt into a large mixing bowl and make a well in the centre. br Whisk together eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil in a large jug until well combined. br Whisk egg & buttermilk mixture Into flour mixture to form a batter; with just a few lumps. br If batter is too thick, stir in an extra 1–2 Tbsp of buttermilk. br Pour 1⁄2 cup of batter into each waffle square and close lid to cook. br Repeat with remaining batter.
