A Chilean delegation to the People’s Climate Change Conference in Cochabamba urged President Michelle Bachelet to keep her word about negotiating Bolivia’s access to the Pacific Ocean. A spokesperson said that many labor, professional, intellectual and grassroots organizations are constantly pressuring the president on this issue, but that their stance is little known due to the corporate control of 99 of the major news media.
