In this comedy, the son of a deceased mob leader is recruited by his father’s lieutenants in order to rescue the failing “business.” The son, Baby Face Morgan, has no clue, however, what his father used to do, and thinks he is heading an insurance company. With the charming and innocent Baby Face as their public persona, the older gangsters think their problems are over and continue to operate their illegal business ventures. Baby Face soon discovers his own unknowing assistance in their plot and discovers a way to keep himself and his father’s comrades out of jail and honest again.
