Six federations of coca growers from the tropics of Cochabamba have given their full support to President Evo Morales if he runs for re-election in 2019. Morales enjoys widespread support among those who are not willing to return to a neoliberal regime. Bolivian lawmakers approved a bill last month to change the Constitution in order to allow Morales to run for re-election once again and stay in office until 2025. The constitutional change will be put to a national referendum in order to be ratified.
