A hike in the prices as compared to last year is Rs 30 to 40 higher, which can pinch pockets of Surtis who want to gorge the sweet delicacy made from ghee, mava and sugar. br Chandi Padvo is an occasion when Surtis (Gujarati people from Surat) enjoy a popular local variety of sweet Ghari.
