India's textile hub faces challenge of preserving environment

This report takes us to the southern city of Tirupur, the country's textile capital. pbr The industry there employs around half a million people and exports clothes to Europe and the US. But according to a local NGO, this success has come at a high price for the environment, with dyeing factories polluting the city's main river.
