Hi all this is Barry Robins from Colbatech Solutions simplifying IT for small business and this is our 2nd Do It Yourself video. A lot of you business owners uses quickbooks and over time quickbooks can get gank up, the database that holds your financial data can get corrupted and I wanna show you a nice tool for troubleshooting and potentially fixing quickbook slowness and crashing and some other problems you may have not known. We go up to the file menu then you go down to the utilities and then to verify data it will check the integrity of your quickbooks company file and let you know if there seem to be a problem. I'm gonna go ahead and run our own file here at Colbatech, it will need to close all open file on windows and click OK. Now it is verifying the data integrity of this file, in this case quickbooks didn't find any issue but if it does find issues it will recommend to you that you should run a rebuild data. The rebuild data will ask you to create a backup which I highly recommend in case the rebuild causes additional issues and you can always go back to rebuild the copy of your company file. Go ahead and run it and let it do its thing, let it repair its issues. I would recommend running a verify one more time just to make sure it got everything.
