Taking special precaution to ensure safe Diwali, special teams of 108-ambulance services will be deployed in Ahmedabad for any kind of emergency. According to the GVK EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute), the emergency that manages the 108 ambulance service under the public-private partnership, at least 10-45 more cases of emergencies are projected during the week following Diwali. Considering the rise in the number of emergency cases due to fire crackers and health complications due to noise and air pollution, infection, trauma, and pregnancy-related complications, more ambulances will be deployed on Diwali, Bhai Bij and Gujarati New Year.
