br br br br br Last Train Out Of Sydney ...Written by: David DiMuzio br br The last train out of town hall station leaves at 1:45 in the morning br I jump in and grab a seat just before they give the 15min. warning br Two boys walk by chomping on their late night burritos talking about the girls they almost had br Least theyve got each other tonight and they tried br Maybe next Saturday wont go so bad br Women that look like my mother br Sleeping on the seats br Kids without a home it looks seem br For a minute off the streets br A teenager writes graffiti on the wall but were too tired to say anything at all br let hisher words be heard br br CHORUS: br On the last train out of Sydney br I couldnt be more happy br I didnt have to catch the bus tonight br If youve got three dollars fifty br You can take a ride br Through other peoples lives br On the last train out of Sydney br br The darkness outside looks peaceful though who knows just how friendly br The houses lights dot the flat land like stars at night in one of those old cowboy movies br I heard working class man in a convenience store today br And its still stuck in my head br The graffiti is starting to dry I must sound tired as I let out a sigh br But its just I feel so content br br The baby thatd stopped crying starts crying again br His mum wakes up unready for the second wind br And I wonder if when the baby thinks its with an Australian accent.
