Earlier this week French Guyana launched a rocket carrying new satellites for communications with Saudi Arabia and India. The Saudi satellite will provide broadcasts, broad band and telecommunications services in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East. The other will offer navigation aid and emergency services to India.
