A late night fire on the night of Diwali sparked tension amidst onlookers gathered at Marine Drive to see the celebrations and fireworks on the promenade. According to the fire control board, the fire sparked at grounds adjacent to the Wilson Gymkhana and continued for two hours. No casualty was reported.
