2011 ka sjelle ndryshime edhe ne përbërjen e Kuvendit, me largimin e 9 deputeteve. Zgjedhjet lokale te 8 majit sollën ikjet me te mëdha te te zgjedhurve, te cilët lanë mandatin e deputetit për te garuar për drejtimin e bashkive. I tille është rasti i Lulzim Bashes i cili dorëzoi mandatin për te marre bashkine e kryeqytetit. Me po te njëjtën ambicie garuan edhe Ferdinand Xhaferri ne Durrës dhe Ardian Kollozi ne Vlore nen siglën e PD por pa arritur te zgjidhen si kryetar bashkie. Ne kampin e majte Gjoke Jaku dhe Fatos Tushe lëne mandatin e deputetit për tu angazhuar ne zgjedhjet lokale përkatësisht ne qytetin e Lezhës dhe te Lushnjes. Por ne braktisjen e jetës parlamentare ndikuan edhe faktorë te tjerë. Deputetja socialiste Ermelinda Meksi, ish ministre e integrimit, ndonëse me një përvoje te gjate parlamentare, pranoi një detyre te re: ajo u zgjodh nga kuvendi si anëtare e bordit mbikëqyrës te Bankës se Shqipërisë. Nga grupi parlamentar i partisë socialiste është larguar gjate këtij viti edhe deputetja e re Rudina Seseri, e cila la mandatin e pare për te vazhduar angazhimet private jashtë Shqipërisë. Ndërsa deputetit te Shkodres Ilir Beqja gjykata kushtetuesi i hoqi mandatin pas padisë se bere nga partia demokratike për shkelje te kushtetutës.
