Ne ditën e pare te fushatës elektorale ne Maqedoni, për zgjedhjet e 24 marsit, kreu i Partisë Demokratike Shqiptare Menduh Thaçi ka pritur ne Cair te Shkupit kreun e Aleancës për Ardhmërinë e Kosovës, Ramush Haradinaj. Me herët Haradinaj arriti te ule ne një tryeze Thaçin dhe Selmanin e Demokracisë se Re, te cilët nuk takoheshin qe prej shkëputjes se Selmanit nga PDSH-ja. Ne orët e para te mëngjesit ne Maqedoni ka nisur zyrtarisht fushata elektorale për zgjedhjet lokale te 24 marsit. Pasi partitë te zhvillojnë takime dhe tubime për 20 dite me radhe, qytetaret maqedonas do te kenë mundësi te votojnë për zgjedhjen e kryetareve te 80 komunave dhe për atë te kryeqytetit Shkup. Ende nuk është saktësuar numri i sakte i kandidateve qe garojnë ne këto votime. Kjo, pasi me ndryshimet e reja te kodit zgjedhor dhe ndërprerjen e bojkotit te zgjedhjeve nga opozita, parlamenti ka shtyre deri me 8 mars, afatin për dorëzimin e listave nga opozita.
