Antique diamond chandelier earrings. A matching pair, each set centrally with a cushion shape old mine diamond in an open back cutdown setting, the two with a combined weight of 1.60 carats, surrounded by a double row of cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back cutdown and grain settings, all eighty eight in total with a combined weight of 2.00 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 3.60 carats, to a striking openwork oval diamond pendant chandelier earring with star burst outer border and ornate pierced backholing, articulated and suspended from a diamond stud, fitted to reverse with a secure shepherd's hook, approximately 4cm in length from top of hook. Tested yellow gold and silver settings, circa 1870.
