Mumbai: A Mumbai-based resident has sued the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for Rs 1.5 crore as damage after he accidentally slipped into a partially-covered manhole in the city. br Vijay Hingorani fell into an improperly covered manhole in Carter Road area in Mumbai on November 29, and was left with fractured leg and severe other injuries. A sole breadwinner for his family, Hingorani sued the city-based corporation for Rs 1.5 crore as a compensation for loss of livelihood, physical injury and medical expenditure.
