PARIS — A man was arrested after he was discovered carrying two guns into Disneyland Paris on Tuesday evening. br br According to the Telegraph, authorities discovered a 7.65mm pistol and a second smaller gun, both from the 1980s, a Koran and a box of ammunition on the 28-year-old. br br Police said the man explained he was carrying the firearms because he feared for his safety and needed to protect himself, reported the Telegraph. br br br The man was detained at the New York Hotel, part of the Disneyland Paris complex, after passing through hotel security, reported the Telegraph. He had reportedly booked a room for two and arrived with a female who fled the scene when security stopped the man. br br Bomb disposal experts located and searched his vehicle. A woman believed to be his female companion was later detained at the park, but was subsequently released when police discovered she was not involved, reported USA Today. br br The woman who fled the scene is believed to be the suspect's wife. She is still at large.
