Nepal, Feb 02 (ANI): The ongoing Madhesi agitation has crippled normal life in the Nepal's Terai region. Recently, Madhesi leaders in Birgunj conducted a meeting in order to resolve the ongoing crisis in their country by putting more effort in convincing the government to address their demands. Economic situation has worsened since the agitation started six months ago. Protesters have blocked trucks coming in from neighbouring India, leading to acute shortage of fuel and medicine. Around 60 people have been killed in police firing as protestors demand equal rights in the constitution that was adopted last September. For the last six months the Madhesis have been protesting against the Nepal government as they felt their basic rights were not addressed appropriately in the constitution
