*This video was put together by a wonderful young gentleman (Thanks Brendan!) to highlight a recent event that we do in Elyria, Ohio that highlights children who have battled adversity (medical or otherwise). We honor these children (with family accompanying) as real-life super heroes, AKA The Super Kids. They assist well known characters with saving the city! Special thanks to all who participated including National Guard, A Special Wish Cleveland, Jeremy Cares, Capes4Heroes, The City of Elyria, The Elyria Chronicle Telegram, Mayor Brinda, The Elyria Police Department, Roc NB Cure,The Elyria Parks and Rec, Department, Donnas Diner, many other surrounding businesses, Tim Misny, Richard Hooper, and anyone we may have forgotten; forgive us please if we did not mention you. Our website is :-) In August of 2010, we started SUPER HEROES TO KIDS IN OHIO. Our group of 3 people initially started visitations at the Cleveland Clinic Childrens Ward. We did so in order to help the patients endure the adversity due to health issues by dressing up as familiar costumed crusaders. WE WERE JOINED BY AN ARRAY OF INCREDIBLY SELFLESS PEOPLE WHO GIVE OF THEIR TIME, COMPASSION, FINANCES, AND SINCERE GOOD-WILL! The response has been very positive, and as a large group, we were eventually fortunate enough receive the Red Cross Real Hero Award. It was a credit to EVERYONE involved! We are now a group of over 100 individuals and charitable contributors (and growing)! From all different walks of life, it is our organizations goal to spread good will by (1) simple acts of kindness, (2) the recognition of individuals who have battled through adversity (3) and to encourage the involvement of community to make a positive difference in the lives of others; especially children.\r
