EVANSTON, ILLINOIS — Two Northwestern University freshmen vandalized a campus chapel last Friday, allegedly spray-painting everything from a swastika, to racial slurs, penises, and the name “Trump,” no doubt alluding to the surname of the Republican presidential frontrunner. br br Nineteen-year-old Anthony Morales and 18-year-old Matthew Kafker allegedly entered the Alice Miller Chapel around 12.45 a.m. on Friday. They reportedly proceeded to paint penises, racial and homophobic slurs and deface photos of muslim students. They also painted the word “Trump”, reported the Chicago Tribune citing authorities and Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Brooke Shupe. br br Church officials discovered the mess the next morning. Kafker and Morales were ID’d via surveillance footage and later confessed to authorities. They’ve both been held on charges of hate crime, vandalism and property damage. Bail was set at $50,000 each.
