I understand that some people may not be as fond of this episode because of how.forceful it might come across. I dont blame Applejack for wanting to protect her familys livelihood. Those apples are important to her, her family, and all of Ponyville. I dont take issue with that. Defense of home and property against unwelcome animal guests is not immediately wrong, I would imagine. Thats not my problem here. What I had a problem with was the five practically cornering and forcing Fluttershy to do something she didnt want to do. I dont think the lesson here is be kind to animals no matter the personal sacrifice made. I think the lesson is if you believe something in your heart to be right, do it, and follow through with it, even if it disagrees with how your friends feel; if theyre true friends, they wont try to force you to change your mind, or pressure you, or guilt-trip you, and by the same token, you dont do that to them either. Applejack had a right to defend her home. But I dont think they were right to force Fluttershy to do something that she didnt feel right about.
