Former NYPD officer Peter Liang dodged jail time on Tuesday when a Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice sentenced Liang  to five years probation and 800 hours of community service in the shooting death of 28-year-old dad Akai Gurley. Liang, who remained emotionless throughout the proceedings, apologized to Gurley's girlfriend, saying "the shot was an accident.
