AMT adapted this classic and basic car model to be sold as a tie-in with the Disney adaptation of "DICK TRACY" released in 1990. br In the film, Tracy's car was black and the model featured on the revamped box was black. Primary colors were the rule in the movie and I decided to paint this car a bright yellow. br br Problems with the consistency of the paint gave me problems with the smooth finish I wanted to lay on the car. br br The cars in the film were replicas of a widely-available model in the 1930s and this was an easy model to build. Only the chrome and the radiator hose gave me problems.
