Victory Mosque br br Here there was a mosque from the end of the 18 th century for the soldiers who, were quartered at this site. In 1823 Sultan Mahmut II built the new mosque which is decorated with baroque and em-pire motives at the same place. It’s a single-dome mosque and is flanked by two slender minarets with two galleries each. Today it is located at the goods-harbour of Istanbul. An ablution fountain, water fountain and a room of clocks belong to the comple.
