The 2009 drug trend report had predicted continued increase in price among traditional branded and biotech drugs that lack generic competition. Unfortunately, CMS (Chronic Medication Service) reduced its average sales price (ASP) from 6 percent to 4 percent affecting pharmacy reimbursement.
