On Wednesday afternoon, 1290 Bharatnatyam dancers from the city, aged 3 to 45 years, gathered at the Government Inter College in Nishatganj, Lucknow to set a new record - of the maximum number of people performing the classical dance form together. The dancers performed Bharatnatyam for 4 minutes 50 seconds, which was declared the new record by officials from the Limca Book of Records.
