One of the divers present, identified as Yann, remedied the situation. After the shark returned and entered the cage, another diver, Katie, managed to descend to la ower section. Yann, stuck in the upper section with the shark, had his regulator knocked out of his mouth, so escaped the cage to get the surface and tell the crew to raise the cage. He then descended, “with only the air in his lungs,” according to the report, to help the others escape.pbr pThe cage raised, the crew eventually freed the shark, which swam away.
