tests the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS which is the second generation of the Pulsar. Bajaj Auto has launched the Pulsar 200 NS to give tough competition to other performance bikes like the Yamaha R15 and TVS Apache 180. The new Pulsar 200 NS is the most accomplished Pulsar till date and is powered by a 200cc, liquid-cooled engine which employs a carburetor and uses three valves. This motor produces 23.17 BHP of power in the Pulsar 200 NS, while torque output is 18.3 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Pulsar 200 NS reaches 100 kmhr from zero in just 9.83 seconds and the top speed is 136 kmhr. Bajaj Auto claims the Pulsar 200 NS will return more than 40 kml but we expect the mileage to hover between 35-40 kml in real riding conditions. The Pulsar 200 NS debuts a lot of interesting tidbits including a perimeter frame, petal discs, monoshock and a 4-valve engine. The Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is priced at Rs. 1 lakh in Mumbai.
