Norton St Italian Festa Part 1 of 3HD, Leichhardt, 30 Oct 2016 br br Known as Sydney’s ‘Little Italy’, Leichhardt is located in Sydney’s inner west, just off Parramatta Road and to the west of Glebe. Norton Street runs through the centre of the neighbourhood and is lined with fantastic shops, cafes and restaurants. Many Leichhardt residents have Italian heritage –– an influence which is reflected in the suburb’s many businesses and events. Perhaps the biggest event on the local calendar is the Norton Street Italian Festa. Held during October, Norton Street is closed to traffic and transforms into a vibrant local marketplace featuring food stalls, cooking demonstrations, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
