LASIK surgery has become so popular and needed all over the world because people do not want to have to use glasses. Once the eye is held in place by a suction, the excimer laser vaporizes the unneeded tissue on the cornea without using any sort of heat or flame. Once this first part is completed, the excimer laser is then used to help heal the eye by redirecting laser placements to bring the eye back to where it was, without any blurriness.
