Trump adviser is pushing a registry for Muslims

Donald Trump’s advisers discussed drafting a proposal to reinstate a registry for immigrants from Muslim countries, according to an official who worked on a similar registry after 911.br It would require those coming to the U.S. from countries with active extremist organizations to register with the feds.br A similar program, the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System, implemented after 911, required “higher risk” males over the age of 16 to be interrogated and to get fingerprinted.br The program also required those in the registry to check in periodically.br The Department of Homeland Security abolished the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System under the Obama administration.
