Sometimes hope comes from unexpected places, like a child’s wish. Charlotte is a 9-year-old from Modesto, CA, who lives with a heart condition, gene mutation, and blindness in one eye. Like many kids her age, she enjoys ballet and gymnastics. But, from a young age, she’s also had the burden of many doctor appointments, hospital stays and surgeries.
