Want To Grow Artificial Tissue? Start With A Cotton Candy Machine

pb by Jeff DonlanbpResearchers at Vanderbilt University have cottoned on to a unique medical tool for their research into growing artificial human tissue — a cotton candy machine. Instead of spinning sugar, they are using it to create incredibly thin polymer fibersa. Those fibers, along with some gel, create a mold that replicates blood vessels, and the tissue cells grow around them. More research is needed before the process is adopted widely, but it already sounds pretty sweet!p ppbr pThe post Want To Grow Artificial Tissue?
