It is a mixed lentil curry generally made with lots of butter and cream and is absolutely delicious, best served with steamed rice and hot parathas! br br Ingredients br 2 cups of whole black lentil or black urad dal soaked overnight br 5 onions finely chopped br 6 tomatoes blanched and pureed br 1 cup of salted butter (Amul) br 1 cup cream br 1½ tbsp deghi mirchi powder br 5 tbsp ghee br 2 tbsp ginger and garlic each finely chopped br 1 tsp Punjabi garam masala br br METHOD: br Pressure cook the dal for 3 whistles and then put the flame on a low and allow it to cook for 20 minutes br br Heat the ghee and add the onions and sauté them golden.
