UPS is stepping up its delivery game by testing out delivery via drone in Lithia, Florida. UPS hopes this is the first step towards a more automated delivery system. The drone launches from the roof of the truck and flies autonomously to deliver its package before returning to the truck while the driver continues to make other deliveries. John Dodero, VP of industrial engineering at UPS, declined to say how this might impact the amount of drivers UPS uses.
