In April 2012, I took the train called The Ghan from Adelaide in South Australia 2,979kms all the way to the top of the country to the city of Darwin in the Northern Territory. The trip took 3 days and 2 hours and was quite the experience along with being the only South to North transcontinental journey in the world.
