Or just spend the weekend sitting on the porch, rocking your cares away.br br How to make Bourbon Sweet Tea:br br Makes 1 gallon (about 16 glasses)br br 4 cups Boiling waterbr 1 cup Sugarbr 12 Black tea bagsbr 6 cups Cold waterbr 3 cups Crushed ice, plus more for servingbr 3 cups (24 oz) Bourbon (about one 750ml bottle) br Garnish: Mint sprigs and lemon slices br Glass: Highball or double Old Fashionedbr br Combine the boiling water and sugar in a heatproof container. br Stir until sugar is dissolved.br Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. br Remove tea bags and discard.br Pour the tea base into a heatproof pitcher or serving jar.br Add the cold water, ice and bourbon. br Stir well, and refrigerate until serving.br To serve, pour into an ice-filled highball glass or double Old Fashioned glass.br Garnish with mint and lemon slices.
