Many who have a differing political ideology that opposes yours will tell you to be open minded in order to back you into a social corner so they win the argument. They'll pretend as if you are the one that doesn't wish to debate or won't compromise. It's a dirty tactic that doesn't help further anything in the political debate. Within 2015, 2016, and 2017 it's been a tactic mostly used by Liberals, Left Wingers, and Democrats.
