NASA Launches International Space Station Resupply Mission

pNASA launched the Orbital ATK CRS-7 missiona to resupply the International Space Station on Tuesday, April 18, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.ppThe capsule was carrying a space combustion experiment that will intentionally burn a single large sample of material to study flame development in space. Plus, it was to carry the Reentry Data Collection flight recorder to provide data about the conditions a spacecraft encounters during atmospheric reentry.ppThe cargo space delivery vehicle also was named to honor John Glenn, who died in Decembera. He was the first American to orbit the Earth.ppAlso, NASA broadcast a 360-view of the launcha, a first for the space agency.
