GOLD McKILLOP Michael IRL - Irelandbr SILVER SCOTT Brad AUS - Australiabr BRONZE CHARMI Mohamed TUN - Tunisiabr br Take a look at this video for an explanation of Michael McKillop's disability br LONDON, September 3br Michael McKILLOP (IRL) added a second T37 men's middle-distance gold medal to his collection when he won the 1500m title with ease, the cerebral palsy runner producing a tactically similar performance to the way he won over two laps of the track earlier in the Games. McKILLOP waited until halfway into the race and then injected a fierce change of pace to break any rivals who had dared top stay with him, which in this case was only Brad SCOTT (AUS). With 250m to go, McKILLOP had opened up a 40m gap over SCOTT and maintained that distance all the way to the line, which he crossed in a Paralympic record 4:08.11 with the Australian adding to his 800m bronze with the silver medal in 4:14.47.br br "The only person that did the double in the Olympics over semi-middle distances was Mo FARAH (GBR), so to emulate what he did is fantastic. The Paralympics is brilliant because it shows that Paralympic athletes are able to do the double over two distances. It's a real honour to do it." - Michael McKILLOPbr br For further information, please visit .
