Diver Michael Scherer from Roctopus Dive jumped into action to help out the four meter whale shark.
The whale shark swam near a group of divers and snorkels in Ko Tao, Thailand. Alyssa Vinluan was with the group and noticed the rope on the tail of the whale shark. She swam back to the boat for help and Michael dove down to examine the animal.
The rope caused a red wound and Michael began to work on removing it safely. It took three tries but Michael finally freed the animal from the rope. Credit: Alyssa Vinluan via Storyful
