At least soldiers of the Indian Army are reported missing after an avalanche in the northern Jammu and Kashmir's Siachen region. The soldiers were hit as they patrolled a glacier at an altitude of 5,800 metres. Defence officials said rescue work is on to locate the missing soldiers. The avalanche occurred today morning in the northern-most part of the 70 square km glacier that forms the tri-junction of India, Pakistan and China.
