Make this authentic street food recipe at your home and share your experience with us in the comments below. br br Ingredients:- br For Misal Masala:- br Oil br Grated Dry Coconut br Chopped Onions br Cumin Seeds br Coriander Seeds br Chopped Tomatoes br Garam MasalaGodaa Masala br Chopped Ginger br Chopped Garlic br Chopped Green Chilli br Red Chilli Powder br Turmeric Powder br Water br Coriander Leaves br br For Kaanda Pohaa:- br Mustarf Seeds br Curry Leaves br Chopped Onions br Green Chillies br Turmeric Powder br Flattened Rice (Soaked in water for a minute) br br For Misal:- br Oil br Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder br Misal Masala br Salt br Soaked Green Gram br Soaked Moth Bean br Jaggery (as per taste) br br br Method:- br In a pan heat oil and fry the coconut. In a separate pan fry the onions. After the coconut turns golden brown add cumin seeds, coriander seeds and the fried onions. Mix everything well and let it cool down to room temperature. Once cooled, add it to the mixergrinder with tomatoes, garam masala, ginger, garlic, green chilli, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, water and coriander leaves. Grind all this to a fine paste. br br The Kaanda Pohaa:- br In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Once the mustard seeds crackle, add onions, green chillies, turmeric powder, flattened rice, salt, sugar and lemon juice. Mix it well and keep aside, br br The Misal:- br In a pan heat a generous amount of oil and add bay leaf, Kashmiri red chilli powder and the Misal Masala followed by water, salt, green gram, moth bean and let it cook on 10-12 minutes on medium flame. Add jaggery if required. br br Spicy Misal is ready to serve with pav, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, a wedge of lime and some farsaan on top.
