Wheelchair Rugby is played indoors on a regulation-size Basketballbr court by teams of four, using a white ball identical in size and shapebr to a volleyball. The object of the game is to carry the ball across thebr opposition's goal line. Contact between wheelchairs is permitted, butbr physical contact is outlawed. The result is a fast-moving sport thatbr requires plenty of skill and toughness from its competitors.br br br br The Wheelchair Rugby tournament at London 2012 will feature eight teamsbr made up of both men and women -- it is a mixed sport -- who will beginbr the competition in two groups of four teams. The top two teams in eachbr group will qualify for the semi-finals, and the semi-final winners willbr then go head-to-head for the gold.
