Make this Authentic Sri Lankan Fish Curry Recipe at your home and share your experience with us in the comments section below. br br Ingredients:- br Jaffna Powder:- br Dry Roast and Grind:- br ½ cup coriander seeds br ¼ cup cumin seeds br 1 tbsp fennel seeds br ½ tsp fenugreek seeds br 3" piece cinnamon br 8 cloves br ½ tsp cardamom seeds br 15-20 curry leaves br 1 tsp peppercorns br 2 tsp chilli powder br br Sri Lankan Curry:- br 2 onions ground br 3-4 tomatoes br 2 tsp ginger garlic paste br 2 green chillies br 2 tsp Jaffna curry powder br 1 tsp turmeric br 1 tsp pepper powder br ½ tsp. fenugreek seeds br ½ tsp. mustard seeds br 2 tbsp. fresh coconut br 400 ml. coconut milk br Handful of curry leaves br 1-2 tsp tamarind paste br Salt to taste br br br Method:- br The Marination:- br Mix turmeric powder and lemon juice with the fish and keep aside. br br The Curry:- br - In a wok heat coconut oil and add mustard seeds, cinnamon stick, pandan leaves, curry leaves, onion, ginger-garlic paste, tomato, turmeric powder, salt to taste, chilli powder, Jaffna powder, red chilli, grated coconut, water and tamarind powder. Cook for 5 minutes and add coconut milk. br - Now add the marinated fish to the curry and put the lid on. Simmer for 5-7 minutes. br - Serve piping hot.
